Change Initiative for Gender Empowerment (CIGE) has its roots in the response to HIV and AIDS among the female sex workers in Nairobi. The initiative identified the need to address the challenges concerning female sex workers and other vulnerable population by providing psychological counselling, socio-economic support, health promotion, paralegal and other available resources, The program aims to achieve gender equality with a purpose to reach out to different vulnerable persons within the target groups.
We provide knowledge, attitude, skills and propagate justice to positive living and we do not discriminate any human being for whatsoever reasons. Our agenda is to equip and empower the stigmatised, marginalised and discriminated in the society.
Change Initiative was formed and registered as a non-governmental organisation (NGO) in 2010, a local initiative that aligns with the Kenya vision 2030, Kenya National AIDS strategic plan and United Nations Sustainable Development Goals.
